I know the lights are on but do I really have to get my car check at 11k and pay like 87 bucks? What's everyone's opinion?

Rep Power: 0 Yeah, you should take it in 'cause they check all your fluids and rotate your tires, plus they also perform a general inspection and any services covered/required by bulletins.
Just curious...how many people here got the first 3 scheduled maintenance services free? I have taken mine in for the 6 or 7k mile service and the 10k mile service and did not get charged...the service mngr even said I have the next service at 15k miles free also.

Rep Power: 0 man, that maintenence crap is BS. Honda just tells you to come in for maintenence for money. If you talk to a mechanic, they tell you that you dont have to go until at earliest 30k miles.

Rep Power: 0 I never ever take a car back to the dealer unless there is something wrong that is covered by warranty. Their labor prices are way to high and as long as you use the right oil, filters, etc there are no problems with warranty.
I just sold my '94 Firebird LT1 and it had never ever been back to the Ponitiac place. All I ever did was change oil, flush and change trans fluid and keep the car in good shape. Had almost 100,000 miles when I sold it.

Rep Power: 0 IMHO Payning $90 for the 5000 mile service is a bunch of crap. Please don't tell me your only changing your oil every 5k, your car needs more luv than that, especially if you race. I agree with sumama, IMO you only really need to do the 30k mile services w/ Honda because they will check you timing, spark plugs, belts, O2 sensor, rotors, valve springs, etc., that is if you are not willing to do these things yourself. If you are going to pay Honda to do your 5k service give me a call instead. I'd be happy to take you $90 to change your oil and look at your fluid levels and rotate your tires.
