Clear Hood Cover ?

I saw this once on ebay, and it was never listed again. I'm hoping someone can help me find out where to get this. It was basically a large piece of clear vinyl that you place on the hood to prevent rock chips and such. Kind of like those window decals that you can stick on and take off again. It was bascially a low profile way to protect the hood from dings dents and scratches, and judging by the amount of time I spent this weekend repairing rock chips in my hood, I'd say I need one pretty bad. But I don't like the way the "bras" look, plus I've heard horror stories of people getting rocks caught under those, and just scratching the hell out of the paint job anyways. If anyone knows what I'm talking about, and more importantly where I can get one, I would forever be in your debt.

Cheers!

Note: Sorry for making this so long, I though a good description would help ..

Are you sure it was a cover? There are a couple companies that make clear hoods for show and what not. They are made of lexan glass and they don't go over the hood they replace it.

BlueFlame----I saw those advertised somewhere quite some time ago. You can get them for headlights and stuff as well. It's kinda like those square pieces of film that you stick on windows to keep sun off people in the back seat. Except these are clear and are cut to the shape of whatever part of the car they are for. I will look around and see if I can find anything. I will let ya know if I do.

I tried to find lower prices on the bumper cover, but most places didn't list our Civics. I want to get them too. Bras are too ugly but I sure do pick up lots of bugs on the front this time of year.
