Lil Help

Okay, my girl took the civ to get checked up/oil change, 26k miles. Called ahead of time to make sure what was required at this milage, was advised only a hand full of items, after they came back to her, they said she needed her brakes changed and it would be about $120.00. now, does this sound right? after 26k miles? thanks for your assistance.

I don't believe brakes are covered, they would not mention something that is covered until it is not covered anymore.
I don't feel a difference in braking but good thing I have free lifetime balance and rotation at Discount. I will take it over and
check it out myself when they take off the tires. actually, my rims do not hinder my view of the pads.

it depends on a lot more than just miles. you can drive 26k miles on highway and not wear out as much as 26k in city. so i guess you can say is how is the car driven daily? I would say usual is about 30k, maybe off on that a little, but again, it justs depends on how you drive your car. think about 30k is average for two years worth of driving. Just make sure you get the pads taken care of before you have to mess around with the rotors.

mullinad is on a distinguished road
if you take it to the Honda dealership and pay 120 bucks, you better have gotten a nice hand job or something, because it is pretty much just a high quality oil change... not worth the money...

I'll need mine changed at 15k....it also depends on how you drive. In a manual tranny you can down shift and put less strain on the brakes..in an auto all stopping is left to the brakes.
