alright... i have a 2k2 ex automatic and im thinking about buying the hp 4-1 w/ high flow cat racing header
i'm not worried about the fitting issue, im just wondering what you guys think about the product overall
did it change the sound much?
did it add a recognizable amount of hp?
just what you think about them overall
Thanks guys

Rep Power: 0 << will the hp headers make the car fail emissions? There are new strict testings and i dont believe they are carb exempt. can somebody clarify this. >>
yes, along with pretty much anything else with a high flow cat
pays to know people .... especially when living in CA

Rep Power: 0 Isn't a redesigned version supposed to be hitting the streets soon? I have been waiting for a while now. I guess if it isn't coming out in the next few months, I might just have to by the screwed up one. I don't know though, fitment issues, check engine light, hmmm....sounds like a bad decision to me.

Rep Power: 0 The DC Sports header is also a good header that will fit with no problems but I head since the HP has a hiflow cat you will get more horsepower with it. I won't pass emissions and you will have to cut you motemouth in order to get it to fit.

true... you wont pass emissions
however... if you have an ex and it is automatic it will fit with no problems... only the manuals and the non ex's have the trouble

You have what right now? The version with numerous issues or the corrected, redesigned version?

it will be the same header. the only difference is they wil move the part by the motor mount a little so that the motor mount will not hit the motor mount. later

Rep Power: 0 I have the ceramic upper section only...love it, recommend it..........but the better question is, will the header be manufactured in Cermaic and Stainless instead of just Chrome...personally guys..if you plan on keeping you ride for a while....save and buy the better protection.

Rep Power: 0 I don't really want chrome but I just gotta have that 4-1 w/ high-flow cat. I know that chrome is prone to rust but would it not survive 3-4 years or so?

Rep Power: 0 I just installed a BETA version of the new HP header and coreless cat. I must say i'm impressed with this product. (specialy since I got it for free) HP is working on the mount problem for easier install. I have not yet installed the simulator but the car is runing good with-out it. I highly recomend this product.
