Drop Engineering Engine Mount Review

Ah, nothing like writing a product review whilst on the *******.

Car is a 1996 Honda Civic CX with an LS swap.

I was originally planning on keeping my stock mounts. Yeah power engine movement lost motion bla bla bla but i didn't want to feel the engine at all and the stock mounts did a fabulous job of that (see I am being sensitivei say fabulous with sincere sensitivity to the gays) anyways, after tearing apart and blowing up two upper driver's side mount id had it and decided to just get poly mounts.

I didn't want to pay upwards of 300 hundo for parts I wasn't going to use, namely the rear engine mount. I learned that lesson the hard way, I don't care how much MOAR POWA you get putting in the rear mount, the car will shake itself to pieces at any durometer rating. I dont care what anyone else says I have way to much personal experience with it to be argued with.

Anyhoo I figued I would just but the upper left and upper right seperately since those were the only ones I was going to use. Got the upper left for 87 shipped, got the upper right for 113.63 after haggling with the guy on eBay.

I'm not going to cover installation because its been covered to infinity and beyond. I will however post pics of fit and finish. (and you ****ers better appreciate these pictures because I had to go though hell and install 4353 million different plugins to upload them)

its looks pretty bling as fehkl polished up with lime green inserts. its something different.

got them in a 75A i believe you can get them stiffer at their website or other retailers online.

The vibrations are much more noticeable. not awful but will take some accustoming to if you've never had stiff mounts before. I have so it's nothing relatively new. Youll find which body panels and interior parts rattle pretty ricky fehking tick though. Otherwise, these mounts are great, and everything I've come to expect from Hasport but for much a lower price. Really pleasant shifting now I will say. Hope this serves to help other people out who are researching this product.

the pics are HUGE BTW. Enlarged to show texture. isn't that what they say on cereal boxes? I wanted you guys to be able to see the weld quality since that is something that is important to me and I figured it would be important to other people as well.

Re: Drop Engineering Engine Mount Review

i also wanted to add something about the warranty. They have a lifetime warranty on the product, even in the case of an accident. as read from DE's warranty card

accident protection
Drop Engineering under its no questions asked warranty policy will provide for all claims including vehicles involved in accidents. Warranty claims must include pictures of the accident, an official police report, and must be within three months of the accident.

pretty stellar.
