eBay exhaust?
eBay exhaust?
whats up with people hating on ebay exhausts? like who cares if its ebay or name brand, its only a exhaust. I can see why you would want a nice exhaust if you have a nice turbo car but why would you buy 500 cat back for average car. its not going to give you much of a power increase. I paid 80 bucks for a ebay cat back, I thought it sounded alright plus it came with a easy to remove silencer if yo want it to be quite, its a lot better then putting just a can on it like the "racers" lol
Here's mine, it has a good sound for a cheap cat back

Re: eBay exhaust?
well my mom does and i drive it sometimes and its actually pretty quick for what it is, no lie plus at one point i was going to trade the single slammer 240 for a civic but i changed my mind cuz its to common of a car, i like to have something different. The civic would be better in the snow but i can drive the 240 in snow just fine so its not a huge deal

Re: eBay exhaust?
Every exhaust resonates differently for every engine. Throw a Ferrari exhaust on a civic and it's not gonna sound like a ferrari. Matter of fact it'll prob sound like chit.
So if your eBay exhaust sounds great in your 240, then great! But throw that same exhaust on a civic and I'll bet u it'll sound like a fart cannon (unless u think fart cannon sounds great)
The reason by eBay exhausts are shunned down upon because they are usually made out of a cheap material and have no R&D put into them.
Those name brand exhaust companies spend a lot of time fine tuning the desired sound from a specific engine. It all translates into a more costly product.

Re: eBay exhaust?
I just don't see a point in spending all that money with out getting much more power though, If i got a nice greddy or hks cat back i don't really think it would be much of a noticeable difference in terms of performance, i feel pretty satisfied with mine, I think it sounds pretty good. If i had a nicer car then maybe i would spend a extra 400 on a cat back but i dont, ebay isnt perfect but its not always bad
Re: eBay exhaust?
dood that's awesome! great buy for $80.
we're just saying that it's a risk to buy an ebay exhaust because you don't know if it will sound good. alot of them will say they're for one car, when they also sell the same item for another.
i baught my exhaust used and heard clips of it on youtube so i already knew it'd sound good and that the compay had designed things like the length and resonator to fit and sound good on my car.

Re: eBay exhaust?
ahhhh, great....
posting about "new" stuff always gets a hit in the search engines, so now we got 2 "new" "ebay exhaust" threads... that's an info for all that does not undesrtand search functions of internet... One posts **** and all you get for a while is **** posted for some idiot that posts ****, because all the guys that are looking for **** searchs for **** and ends up getting a hit on the **** posted on that forum.
Hate **** posters for that alone, much more for simply being shitty as the posts of them.
in the end, we have another 2 ebay exhaust ****'s threads in the same day.
thanks for that, shitty.
ebay are not bad per se.
you can find things that are worthwhile after some fabrication.
if yeh don't have an idea of what yeh looking for, they will crumble in no time.
to find worthy stuff, sometimes yeh simply need to bit the bullet and buy to be the first to review it.
if yeh think it's good because of the price only, well, feel free to buy new ones every year or so.
be the first to review, but leave the shitty outta here, do not want idiot posts growing just because yeh want post counts and want to have people post on yer thread.
i'ma ignoring you for the time being until yeh leave here or is banned. thanks for the disservice or bringing more worth for not posts to the forum.

Re: eBay exhaust?
dont we have a thread somewhere dedicated to exhaust reviews?? even ebay exhausts are in there. if you wanna know what everyone thinks about their "ebay exhaust" look in there.
here it is
https://www.civicforums.com/forums/2...r-exhaust.html
look at my post about the tenrai exhaust on 7th gens. sounded great and was pretty cheap. i havent posted about the SRS catback i have on my 2000 ex in that thread yet but it sounds better than the tenrai and i thought the tenrai sounded really good.
