That's why when it comes to expensive shiet I won't buy from a private party unless I can see it in person first but if it's online I'll only purchase from reputable companies/merchants. Oh, and pay via cc so I can dispute it if they won't issue a refund or take returns.

chinese counterfeits are currently flooding the market. and in many other cases it is near impossible to tell the difference. sometimes the companies do not even realize they are selling fakes. this is a huge problem with other auto parts esp hid bulbs that come from china looking like real philips but they are garbage and cost less than $10 to make. they sellers put them on ebay for $75+ a pair making tons of profit. its to the point where you have to consider everything you buy to be a potential fake. and they are getting so good at making them, the average person could never tell the difference.

All good comments and advice… But lets remember in this election year to keep this in mind … the current trade agreement with China SUCKS ! And they get away with murder in this industry, and several others. Now before anyone jumps on my case… this is an issue that has been handled poorly on both sides of the aisle ! If you’re a voter please make this an issue you scrutinize your potential candidates on, and make it one of your top priorities in who you choose no matter what party you might be affiliated with. !
