I am interested in putting on 17x7.5 becuase I do not think anything bigger will fit correctly. If you have this size of 17x7.5 or bigger, specifically 7.5-8.0 and any diameter tell me how you think they ride for you. Have they ever rubbed against the wheel well? How much stiffer is your ride? Do you have any trouble turning, at low or HIGH SPEEDS? Also, just how much do you think the weight of the wheel has effected your torque/speed? I know this is a loooooong question, so don't answer it all just keep it simple.

All depends if you lower it or not. My rims are 17x7 with a 2" drop I might have to shave my rear fenders a bit..

I have 18"x7.5" and so far its all good. The ride is just as good as stock but I haven't lowered it. I am in the next 2 weeks, Probably 1.5".

But not a single problem with rubbing or anything

18 x 8 will rub no matter if you drop or not but x7.5 it will not rub even with a 2 inch drop

the offset of the the wheel has a lot to do with it too. With the wrong offset a 16" wheel might scrub. I've got 17x7.5 toxxins with 215/40/17 Yoko Parada Tires (42 offset)and they didn't scrub at all at stock height. As long as it's just the inner lip scrubbin on the back, it can be shaved down to clear the tire.

Well I threw on some ASA KA3's at 17x7.5 with Dunlop SP SPT 215/40ZR17 and there is about 3mm of space inside the wheel well in the rear, thus an 8.0 would not have fit.
