My husband has an award winning 02 Honda Civic he has entered and placed @ show such as: Hot Import Nights, Nopi Nationals, Funk Master Flex, Dubs ect. Well he has completly moded just about every aspect of that car except the engine. Well when his motor blew he had a decision to make should he just get a new car or... Upgrade. He decided to of course upgrade and to swap out his blown LX engine and put in an Ex V-tech engine he already had. I know what your are thinking, why not swap in the K20. Well like I said he already had the ex engine and money is tight right now. We have actually been able to take out the old motor and get the new motor ready to drop in the only problem is we can't find an ECU under 500 dollars. We thought maybe we could remanufacture the one we are already have, but it is for the LX engine. My question is: Does anyone know if there any place we can find a used EX ECU for an Two door, 02 Civic MT1.7 Liter Engine? Or is there anyway we can remanufacture an LX ECU into an EX?

Try Ebay, I found an EX ecu for around $45 +shipping about a year ago.

Your husband has placed at some of the largest import shows in the world and modified almost every other aspect of his car, but he doesn't know where he can get an ECU on the cheap?
