hey take it easy, whats with this i got a dx (shut up).....be proud of yourself for buying the base model, although you may not know it yet, first of all, you saved a sh*t load of money you can put towards better things than heated mirrors, pw, pdlocks, abs....blah blah blah, just more things that will eventually need service and be a pain in the a$$....you also saved about 150lbs in weight which will be a big help if you decide to mod your car, as it stands, there is a minimal difference in speed between the dx and ex, + if you add boost you've got a much more boost friendly comp. ratio than an ex, which = more boost.......and as far as sohc vtec goes, don't worry, you aren't missing a thing, you can't even feel the diff. at the engagment point, vtec works best with a dohc set-up, all its doing for the ex is helping fuel efficiency......so be proud of you dx, if you look at all the truely fast street cars out there they are all base models, its all about weight.......i can roll down my own windows and lock my car...

I have a DX, and Viper Alarm people told me for 199.99 they will hook up the basic alarm which is for all doors the trunk and the hood, and you get two remotes. He said I could have each door hooked up separately to have auto locks for 50.00 per door. So if you want just the driver door to unlock automatically you can do that. He said I could come back any time ever if I wanted other doors hooked up (I have a four door). So basically, you can have a Viper alarm and power doorlocks with the keyless entry for 300.00 if you have a two door. There are no hidden fees either, its 199.99 for installation and all.

sorry 1973..but it just sounds like your mad at the ex or something..and you say minimal gains from dx to ex? HAHA sh%t I race an Lx last night in my ex..no engine mods..5 spd against 5sp...that thing had NO chance..so if that was the dx, it would have been even worse
