- the headers at least for the ex is a two piece header. hp makes the top piece and the downpipe with an aftermarket cat. i think its 4-1
- i'm gonna wait the hp header after they fix the mounting problems.

HP RACING HAS HAD ME WAITING FOR OVER 2 AND A HALF MONTHS FOR A SOLUTION TO THE HEADER PROBLEM. NOT ONLY WILL YOU HAVE PROBLEMS MOUNTING THE HEADER W/ CAT BY-PASS, BUT YOUR ENGINE LIGHT WILL GO ON AND STAY ON NO MATER WHAT YOU DO TO TRY TO FIX IT. BELIEVE ME, I'VE TRYED EVERYTHING. AND AFTER ALL THAT, THEY TOLD ME THAT THEY WOULD HAVE PRODUCED A CHIP THAT WOULD CORRECT THE ENGINE LIGHT PROBLEM AND ADD HP. THEY SAID IT WOULD BE READY IN 2 WEEKS. THAT WAS OVER A MONTH AGO. THINK IT'S WORTH BUYING?

calm down and watch your CAPS LOCK!

I think it is better to wait a little longer before you decide for to get the HP Header. If you don't want to wait just get the top piece(4-1 one) of the header instead. No need to go thru the pain others have with the 2 piece HP header

They say they are fixing all the problems. I would wait for it to be released. It's not even worth taking the chance.

yea, I remember your post and the review of the header. I should have made my post a little clearer. I just assumed he was referring to the 4-1 w/ high-flow cat, which is the model having problems. You shouldn't have any issue with the shorty header, I wouldn't think. No one has posted any problems with those models.

Material differences is mostly a durability/ aesthetic issue and not a performance issue.

I just purchased the HP header last week. And I've yet to install it. BUT I will let you guys know as soon as I do. I'm glad to hear ALLMAN ands Mussolini had good experiences with the header and am looking forward to seeing how the car runs with it.
