Is this muffler too big?

Dimensions : 5" polished stainless steel tip and 3" pipe size.
Length from tip to piping is about 26 inches. Or should i get a 2.5" pipe size one? what do dey mean by pipe size anyways?

pic please. i have the turbo apex'i n1 muffler and the tip entering the muffler is 3". i had to get a reducer as the pipe after the cat entered the muffler

it's more ideal with cars with FI since they have a whole lot more gas coming out of the car. but it doesn't mean you can't use it [IMG]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/IMG]
