Parts for more low end torque

What parts are available that will give our cars more low end torque? Are there any? What is the best bang for the buck? I know that intakes and exhausts will give you some, but getting both is about a $700 - $1000 investment for about 5 ft/lbs. Is there anything else that will give us more. Thanks.

Usually bolt-ons such as intake, header, and exhaust will give you power only at higher rpms, sometimes with a sacrafice of low end torque. The only ones I can think of that would give you that would be pulleys, and chip upgrades. Unless you want to go extreme, then there are nitrous kits, and screw type superchargers (not available for our car.)

Actually, not nitrous, since you should never use it below 3000 rpm, and preferably not in 1st gear.

There are always torque converters, which muchos help you off the line with torque, do some research, but be foreworned the last time I mentioned Level 10 on this site I got flamed.
