Can anyone recommend a good STRUT BAR.

Im planning of changing my "generic" front strut bar. Can you guys recommend a "better" brand? If so, pls post some pics. Your help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much.

I think the DC Sports strut bar looks the best. I've got a pic of a red anodized one in my members rides.

Hey Revmaster.. Optauto.com has the cheapest price that I've seen for the DC Sports strut bar. You might want to check their site out.

Thanks for all your replies.

I'll go for DC Sports! Don't care if its a waste of money or not, ALL upper struts, of various BRANDS, have the same PURPOSE.

Gish......is there a discrimination for being a NEWBIE?

I did read the EXCELLENT INFORMATION regarding the struts MR. MEMBER! But as I've seen and read it (and pls correct me if im wrong), the neuspeed posted on that informative thread isn't for the 2k1 civic but for the previous EK model (Civic 1996-200). Unlike the DC sports which is bended upfront, the neuspeed struts is straight from both sides of the bolt. Now, I drive a manual tranny and by installing that Neuspeed Front Struts, it just won't fit, since the Clutch Fluid Cylinder is obstracting it from being connected to the upper suspension bolts, since it is directly aligned in the middle. The DC Sports is just perfect for the 2k1 Manual Civic since it does not hit any engine components whatsoever. I know that NEUSPEED products is good value for the money, but unless i see a NEUSPEED upper front struts that will fit my MANUAL TRANNY CIVIC, then I might change my mind.

Thanks for all your replies.

they do! i ordered mine matter a fact. www.aieonline.com ask for Adam Noble. I got it for $127.00 + Shipping
that website is talking about strut bars with pivot joints and without pivot joints.regardless of which model car you have... if you research deeply... some of the best strut bars DO NOT HAVE PIVOT JOINTS! DC Sports has Pivot joints... versus the Nuespeed doesnt.. . ... .. . go ahead and the ge the trendy DC Sports tie bar when you can spend nearly the same amount on money that is strictly performance handling and what pros recommend. DC Sports has juss caught another fish.. LOL

get the neuspeed. dc is over hype. I'll neve rhave any dc product in my car.

course, neuspeed will be mainstream one day too. heh. so who knows.

but the neuspeed one fits. in fact, they give u something to relocate the clutch fluid, which isnt a big deal.

I ordered mine a week ago and I'm still waiting for it, driving me nuts.

Hmmm.......

If that be the case then.........

I might as well try out NEUSPEED.

Thanks for your comments especially to Mr. cvc2k2.

no prob buddy... i recommend you to get the nuespeed front upper.. nuespeed rear upper... and the RSX Type S rear lower sway. it'll be a mean setup.
oh yeah... the reason why you should get the RSX Type S lower sway bar is that it is thicker then the Nuespeed.. i havent looked into the RSX Type S sway bar from nuespeed.. but i could imagine its even thicker.... thick = better response.

As for the Neuspeed not fitting in a Civic with a manual transimission, I can say that the only thing required was to move the clutch cylinder a half inch. That took all of 5 minutes. The bar fits really well. It is more towards the firewall than the DC Sports so it is out of the way.

As for it actually doing something. I would have to say that it has certainly tightened up my steering under hard cornering and the front end is much stiffer.
