turn the car OFF. for the tach and speedometer, stick the needles EXACTLY on the 6 o'clock position -- pointing STRAIGHT DOWN. then, just spin them forward and pull them over the rest pin. start the car up, drive it around for 15 minutes or so (to get it to normal temperature) and fill it up with gas. after you fill the tank and start it up again, stick the temp needle on pointing just below half-way (just touching the bottom of the temp icon). for the fuel, stick it on pointing right at the "F" (duh).

be sure you press the needles on all the way, but not too far as they might get stuck... drive around a bit more without the clear lens over the gauges just to make sure they don't get stuck. i've done this MANY times without any trouble... yet [IMG]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/IMG]

first of all u dont take the needles off. i did , got SCREEEEEEWED, my shi0t said i was going like 30mph sitting still. and i could rev to like 9-10gs, i had to have the dealer get me a new guage cluster and have it sent away to have the mileage reset and then reinstalled. took like a week. just dont take the needles off.

Probably because they got out of adjustment. Most likely took them off for some reason.
