Kumho vs. other Z rated brands!

I have noticed that alot of people use Kumho tires...what I want to know is does it really matter what rubber you use if it's Z rated...the tires I'm looking at are a generic Z rated brand called "Hercules"..they come with a 4 year warranty...the reason I'm asking this is because the place where I might buy my rims at, use these tires in their package deals...so do I need to go and get Kumhos or is it okay to get something cheaper...

I used to have rubber made by Nankane and they were nice and solid...they weren't a name brand or anything like that...

Herucules tires been around a long time. Probably OK, but I have no actual experience. I agree that Kumho is the best thing going for the price, and better than some at a higher price.

Well, it all depends on what kind of driving you are going to do in your car. H-rated tires have a different rubber compound that is harder than Z-rated tires. H rated will probably last another half season to full season over Z's. But Z's will be much better for handling and cornering

save a few bucks???...how much do Kumho's go for????....I was told around $200 a tire...I can get the Hercules ones for $140...I don't care what rated tire I get, just don't feel like paying $200 for a tire!!

If you want a good price try tirerack , victoria tire , or 1010tires . Tirerack has the best shipping rates and proably prices, too. 215/45/17 Kumhos are $89 us.

If you have patience, the best deals, by far, are on eBay

well the problem for me is I don't have the cash now...so I have to get them here at a shop that offers 6 months with no payments...you know the drill...so I don't want to get ripped off...so what i see is that if you guys are saying that I can get Kumho's for around $90 US, well then that's around $140 CAN for me, which means I'll have to get into bargaining mode, take some interent print outs and tell them if they want a sale then they have to give it to me for the price on the print out......if they want the sale then they'll match it...right?....
