Anyone try tech wax 2.0?

I'm pretty sure this is somewhat new because I've always used Meguiar's products like tech wax and I've never seen this before. Anyone tried it? If so, is there any difference from tech wax? Does it still smell good? (like apples haha)

Really? Damn. Which wax do you use? I'm curious because I have never tried another wax. Which products would you recommend?

I always thought meguiars tech wax was better than mothers? It doesn't hurt to try it. Plus tech wax is pretty expensive.

i use optimum spray wax and clear coat sealer most of the time. once a year i put on some meguiars #7 show car glaze before wax to keep the paint looking good. for windows, rainx window wax is excellent.

You will get different results from different waxes and sealants, but imo prep is key. Meaning, washing the car first, and claying.

I've been happy with Meguiars NXT, plus it smells amazing like most Meguiars products. Also, NXT is designed more for deeper color cars. Most people with silver cars usually don't have good results with NXT.

http://www.autopia.org/

That's a good website to learn more on detailing. People there are friendly, and are always willing to answer your questions.

btw, I've never tried this 2.0 nxt, but the original one I have.

Re: Anyone try tech wax 2.0?

I agree about how silver cars don't get that "POP" after a nice wax job. It's nice but not as noticeable as a nicely waxed black or figi blue car I'll give this 2.0 stuff a try. I've been pretty happy with the original stuff. Always wash, polish, and wax. Sooooo smoooooooth.

Try using clay bar before you polish.

This one gives me the impression you can upload it through USB when you're done.

Re: Anyone try tech wax 2.0?

haha the flashier the box, usually the more they have to cover up the junk inside. products that work can have plain crappy bottle with a sticker on it cause they dont care what people think of the outside

Re: Anyone try tech wax 2.0?

I actually heard this was pretty good. It looks really nice but I am not sure about durability.
On my car, washed with DP xtreme foam car wash, clayed with Zaino Z-18, polished with Menzerna Intensive polish with a LC CCS yellow pad and Menzerna Final Polish with a LC CCS white pad via porter cable, sealed with Jeff Werkstatt Acrylic Jett, and wax with S100 carnauba wax. My car came out very nice looking.
