Injen SRI Burning Hose!!??

Hey I've had my Injen SRI for about 8 months now and I never really noticed it but a couple weeks ago my check Engine light came on so I put all the stock stuff back on and when I did I notice the Little Hose that goes over the intake had melted and had a hole in it?? But no matter what I cover it with its wanting to melt it? Is this Normal Please help!

yea, flip......i hear ya.....same thing w/ me........

I wire loomed my whole engine bay red.....Including that stupid hose........no more holes

For a while I just cut off the end and stuck it back on......also move your pipe around a little so that its barely touching if any.......that should help

wait. .what happen?? where was the hole??? what part of the intake was it on. . i just got my injen intake. .and i just wanna know what hole are you talking about and why did it melt??? just wondering so i can perpair myself for the future

hey hey. .for this question. . umm. . what i did and what the shop did was we just moved the wires to the bottom so it wouldn't be going over the intake. . .and we also adjusted the arm a little soo it wouldn't touch the wires. . .try it. . i'll post pics as soon as i can! lates! ohhs does anyone find anything wrong with that solution??

yea, Pogi.........its all about how you bent the metal piece when installing....or if you did bend it.......
If your tube is next to the hose too close or pushes it up next to the metal tubing it will put a hole in it.......no biggie

Mine have been touching the intake for about 4 months and I haven't seen anything that looks like it was burning yet. I'd better go re-adjust it just to make sure it won't.[IMG]i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif[/IMG]
