security systems....
Anyone have a security system on their car? If so how much and how good etc. Just wondering cause say a T.V. show that was really interesting. IT was saying thieves steal cars(anyone they want) and strip them clean. Take the body(what ever is left) back out to the street where the cops take it and auction it cheap. Then the thieve buys it and puts the pieces back on and sells it for a quick profit...all legal (of course unless they catch you stealing it in the first place). It is then sold back to the public. Just a notable point I found interesting....

Yeah my teacher told me about that
but he also said those theives are way easier to catch now a days
he said back then it was a very common thing and cops would never find out
but he said now a days they can so i dunno
im not a type of guy that goes out and steals a car and strip it and put the parts in my living room and then get the car then attach it back

In my career, most of the criminals I've encountered are usually not the finest of people and are extremely unintelligent. Also, what you described is not legal. In New York State, as well as most other states, possessing stolen property is a felony (such as the parts from the car) (CPSP-Criminal Possession of Stolen Property). The statute does not even require that you know it is stolen to be arrested for it. I have a Viper alarm in my car, but obviously there are ways around every alarm.......
