New k20a price?

I was just wondering because i just got hired at Honda and i can get any parts i want for 20% off plus an additional 50% after that. So basically 60% off MSRP. I've seen used k20a going for $6995. And that got me thinking i could get a new one for cheaper. I'd call the parts center but i dont want to wait till Mon. to find out if someone else knows.

i don't think honda usa can get jdm engines like that for you. key phrase 'i think', but i guess you could try. and the worker discount usually applies to normal parts. don't know if honda will sell you engines. my friend's dad owns a shop, and he gets discounts from dealerships too for most everypart; fenders, wheels, but i'm not sure if he can get engines, so not sure.

you're looking for a k20a motor? why not a k20a2? powerful motor and probably cheaper then then k20a. JDM is cool but USDM also rocks my world. anyways, the k20a are pretty damn pricey. the k20a2 motors used could go for a lot less. check out k20a.org and browse through there.

oh and i thought if you work at a dealership you only get discounts on cars?

K20A2 (off Acuraautomotiveparts.org)
Bottom end 3211.46
Head 3384.20
Tranny 4596.79

Thats just general assemblies, you'll need other stuff.

Expect the A to be more since you have to overnight parts from Japan.

you probably won't get it for much cheaper than the current market price... but you will get stuff NEW, not with 30k, 40k+ miles put on by someone else, in a car that may have been in a front end collision. that's the advantage

i can get any JDM, UKDM/EDM, and USDM part from honda...but it just costs an arm and a leg...

like lets say folding mirrors for the em2 coupes....i got a quote from my hookup brand new from honda is $340 or so plus tax plus shipping so roughly $450...but its all brand new from honda europe...or jdm headlights for the 04-05s i can do it for $420 or if i get a group buy $400/pair for 5 people and $380/pair for 10 people...JDM lip for 04-05 couldnt get a price quote yet but i can get it...i can get K swaps relativeley cheap to hot or legit but price varies...hehe...its all socal unless u wanna pay for shipping

no i dont work at a dealership. i work at the factory. and i can get any NEW honda prt for 60% off so i think that would be cheaoer than any used parts. and yes we have no emission laws/checks so i dont care about that. i was just curious if anyone knew the price because now i've found out the guys at the service center are morons and can't find the part #s but they say the know of guys that have ordered them before so it is possible for me to get it

after the swap you still won't have torque unless you boost it (ask me). Save your money and get a better car imo.
