Rep Power: 451 how much does honda charge for there oil filter and oil??
i plan on doing an oil change next week and i want to go to Honda to get the oil and filter, i was wondering how much they charge per quart, i heard it was like $5 but i wanna make sure. Also how about the filter? when i go there i just have to say what kind of car i have and they should know what size filter right? i know its 5w 20 motor oil so thats not a problem....

Rep Power: 265 I usually just have Honda do the oil change. I think to actually do it, they charge me like $28, so maybe $15 for the oil and filter?? Really, tho, I'd just get the filter from them, and get oil somewhere else, unless they use something special.

You're looking at around $6 for the filter, and $3-4 bucks for each quart of oil. Not at all worth it in my opinion, but if thats what you want.
Also, if you're paying $1.50 for a crush washer.. you are getting ripped off very badly. They should be about a quarter each. I've been to a few dealers who've just given them to me for free.
Also, i know you said you plan on doing this at your school yourself, so it's not directed at you. But i hope people understand that when you take your car to honda to get the oil changed, they use a honda filter, but not honda oil.

Rep Power: 314 well, Honda motor oil is just ExxonMobil. The only time I went to get Honda motor oil was when they were giving customers $100 gift cards.
