apexi v-afc not working
apexi v-afc not working
connected the v-afc today, everything is correctly connected, the only thing i didnt connect is the vtec wires, pink and purple. the screen on the v-afc is not turning on, while the key is on. the afc is making some noise, not beeps but processing noise. u have to put it up to ur ear to it to hear it, the buttons light up??? anyone knows whats up with it??? screen not working, the whole thing not working...????

a vafc should still turn on even if only the power is connected... if you are using the vafc only for a/f tune then it should still work.. otherwise if you wanted to use it for the vtec you would need a few resistor parts from radio shack to make it work... u better check your wires cause it sounds like you connected something wrong...

followed boosted installation diy, the power comes on. the lights to the bottons come on but the screen does not work. the wires are all connected exept the vtec and vtm... its little weird
well.. try this.. connect ONLY the ground and positive wires.... make sure you dont connect the power..
make sure the red and orange wires are connected at 2 different points on the positive wire and not in the same place..
make sure the orange wire is closest to the ecu
make sure the black and brown wire are on the right ground wire.. if not then it could go wrong...
make sure the brown wire is closest to the ecu
i also have attached a wiring diagram of how it should be wired from my webpage server... match these up to the wiring of your ecu... if its not the same that might explain your problem....

wire everything up except the vtec cause theres more stuff involved to it if you are using the first vafc
