or you can buy 3 inch neons from streetglow.
when you take the center piece out to around your radio and A/C controls, you can get to the two vents towards the center.

i just ordered some 5mmx200mm white fluorescent lamps and a 12VDC inverter from All Electronics Corp. and im gonna see how they work on my car instead of neon lamps.

the page with all their fluorescent lamps is here, and they have a pretty good selection of sizes and colors (including "BlackLight"s). i'll let you all know how mine work on my car

I think the people that did it on this site used an 8 inch (not sure) neon light for the center vent and just broke it out of the lexan tubing. I am not sure where to get that size because street glow doesn't have 8 inch tubes. If anyone knows where to get them let me know.

are you talking about the fluorescent bulbs? well, that is a good question...but i think neon lights would be just as likely to be messed up by the heat/cold from a HVAC vent in a car. the place where im gonna put my fluorescent bulbs will be exposed to extreme cold and heat, so i'll let you know if they break or get messed up (btw, i aint telling where im gonna put them until i have pics to show y'all, mkay )
