Did anyone polish there 2k1-2 valve covers? I did and it was a waste of time. The dam paint was hard to remove even with paint thinner. And after it was polished...it was 60%covered by the engine parts. Also the rain gets through more easier then the older civics, so it gets wet fast in rain. There is a thread here where a guy made polished aluminum covers. I think he makes them or sells the plans.

allman is the one that made aluminum valve cover, if you have some machining experience then it shouldn't be too hard to DIY.

ALLMAN made a aluminum plug cover,.......were talking about a VALVE cover here. i was gunna either polish, or have mine powdercoated red have any pics of the valve cover??????????????

that valve cover i left alone.it's really time consuming that you have to polish it after it starts to dull again.i'd paint it.
