Foglights off ebay
Bought a pair of OEM style off ebay last week from a seller called K2MOTOR, and when I received today one of the glass was shattered.
it sucks coz I was thinkin about installing them tomorrow.. but now I guess I have to wait
any suggestion what should I do?
how much will it cost if I bring this to a local glass shop and ask them to replace the glass?

Contact the Ebay seller and tell him. If you bought insurance, then you should be ok, if not then you might be screwed. I am not sure if the seller will be liable.

Rep Power: 297 Don't install them, wait and see what the guy says, i would send them back and get new ones, the item description didn't say anything about them being broken, did you use paypal? If he refuses to do anything about it, take it to paypal and tell them, they will get your money back, or else new fogs.

Rep Power: 359 if its a guy selling his used fogs i think he will say you are sol that he packaged them right and yada yada and all that does it really look like shipping damage? maybe bring it up with them, if it was ups it was insured up to a hundred dollars so see what your options are

Rep Power: 297 runner1738, doesn't matter if they were broken from the seller or shipping, when you pay with paypal you are entitled to receive the item that was described. My 04 tails came with a chip, i was refunded my $130 back and just fix the chip, you can't even tell now. But it took over a month of hassle from UPS to get the money back.

The seller said don't send the fogs back yet, as they will not send me the new one if there's no claim number from UPS.
I paid using paypal, if I file a claim using paypal, is it possible for them to refund my money?

Rep Power: 297 yes, they will make the sender do something about it, i would file with UPS too, it will take about a month, not 2 or 3. Contact Paypal ASAP and tell them what happened.
