Injen CAI fitting pbm

ok guys, as some of u know, i dunno if i should go for the cai or sri

for those who got the injen cai, is there really a fitting pbm with the battery?
really pain to get the cai in?

I have the Injen CAI in my 02civic Ex. Not a problem.

It fits like ****. honestly I wouldn't bother. The fender liner/frame rail and battery tray will probably eat through the pipe and open a hole behind the filter. That and the fact that its $200 for 1 HP, you're better off spending money elsewhere.

I agree somewhat. I wouldnt say it fits like ****, but the fit isnt great. When I had mine on, I had to move the battery around untill I had the pipe in there where it wouldt rub on the battery case. A year later, When I removed it, you could see where the battery case had rubbed on the pipe.

But you also have to modify the splash shield in order to fit the pipe through, pain in the ***.

i have the injen sri and it went in like a dream, no worries of it rubbing on anything or hydrolocking the engine, sounds sweet too

Its not hard at all to install, but will eat the piping. I had the same design when I got my intake back in 01. It could have been the real injen, but Im not sure.

It ate through the piping though. It will eventually happen, but its not hard to install at all. Try installing piping on both sides of this motor, thats hard.
