Thumbs up teflon wiper blades!

I finally picked up a set of trico teflon coated blades cause the old ones were skipping too much. Paid around $25 and they're worth every penny! Even the new regular wipers would start to skip after 10-12 wipes. Well the teflon wipers glide across the glass without any drag, dry or wet. I'm very impressed and will be getting these again next time. You have to see how they wipe water to believe it. Big difference.

I bought some Teflon refills from NAPA. Worst ever. Chattered like mad.

Next, I tried the regular refills from NAPA. Great at first, then turned to chattering junk rather quickly.

Just installed some regular ANCO refills from AutoZone. So far, good.

I've had the best luck with the cheap Bosch blades. Not the Micro Edge Excels, which are just overpriced. I've got a set of Tricos on right now (non-teflon) that are pretty awful.

nah just keep the windshield as clean as possible. The stock replacements are okay but after a while start to skip again.

ya i use it to clean kitchen sink haha. Um wipers are rubber so I'm not sure. They always say rub the wiper blade with alcohol every so often to make em last longer. Windshield is just glass. I actually used shaving cream on the inside of the windshield to get off the dirty film. Now it doesn't fog as easily.

Are those Trico Teflon blades the ones that are supposed to be very aerodynamic, and have a hidden frame? I saw those advertised, and wanted to get a set...previously, I ran Bosch Micro-Edge's on my Focus and really wasn't all that impressed. They did a good job in a downpour, but in light rain, they just left streaks all over the place.

These look like regular wipers except different teflon stripe or something. They don't streak even on a dry windshield, well unless there's bird poo there.

Yeah. They are great. I have a set on my IS300 now. BIG improvement for only a couple dollars more.

gear is that the one they selll on wal-mart?

i've seen this wiper blade.......with no metal.....i mean, there's nothing holding the blade...so it's flexible...

well, the price tag is frickin' ridiculous.....

i'll just keep cleanin my wiper with alcohol every so often...it works like charm for me.....instead of using alcohol, i often use rainX solvent to wipe the wiper blade......i do it many times until the tissue that u use to clean it went from pitch black to CLEAN white.....LOL

it took me about 20+ wiping.....for each blade just to clean it really clean....

thats the rubber coming off not dirt. I would just use alcohol. And yea I got the lil rubber strip replacements and sliced open my fingers tryin to force em in. Finally gave up and threw eerything in the trash and got the teflons in the metal already.

lol....ur maybe right...ow wrong...

those black thingie...i believe they might be a mix between the "already-bad-need-to-be-removed" rubber + a lot of dirts, oil, grease...blablabla...

tell you what, after doin that...the wiper works like new again....awesome =)

another thing, few months ago...i realized how easy it is to replace the rubber on OEM blade....im quite sure that the OEM metal blade got the best capability to clean our car's windshield...

the replacement rubber for both blade only costs $6!

im sooo relieved to know that i didn't throw away my OEM blades when i replaced it with the tyco blades.....

hmm this sucks. the new ones are already streaking! I even cleaned them 20x with alcohol and now its even worse? They don't feel smooth at all on the glass. What should I do put wax on em?

hmm well i put silicone spray on the blades and they work ALOT better now. Almost no chatter except a bit of drag in the corner. But otherwise I think this will work. Its raining so I prolly wouldput more silicon later when its dry.
