Rate your Seats!
Well, many of you have swapped either ep3 or dc5 seats into your car. Some have even gone with true aftermarket sport seats. How bout you post a little review. This should help anyone who is getting there and cannot decide on what seats to get.
How about you review using the following catagories, rating on a scale of 1-5 / 5 with a small description for each rating.
example:
Seat: OEM Cloth seats
Fit:5/5 bolt in perfectly of course!
Finish: 4/5 cloth is nice. Easy to clean. Doesnt wear easily. Easy on the eyes.
Match: 5/5 Matches interior perfectly.
Comfort: 2/5 doesn't support lower back much.
Grip: 2/5 You will be thrown around in corners. The side supports are at best a little help.
Overall: 3/5 ok for a civic, but could be much, much better.
Pic: (im not posting a pic cause its useless!)
NOTE: If you get the SRS light on in the car:
1.Check ALL plugs!!!!!!!
2. Reset is using the following link:

Seats: factory seats with Katzkin Leather
Fit:4.5/5 the leather looks alittle gathered in spots but still freakin awsome
Finish:5/5 2-tone leather, water and cloth to clean
Match: 5/5 the "black Leather"(that is a color that they sell) matches perfectly with black interiored 7thgen vics
Comfort: 5/5 it is the factory seats but with the leather it just adds the expense feel.
Grip: n/a
Overall:4.5/5 the best thing besides get new seats and right now I wouldn't trade my seats for any Sparco or other racing seat
Price: $1219.00 and worth every penny

Seat: Sparco Monza
Fit: 4/5 had them professionally installed. it was all fabricated to fit like OEM. only thing is a bolt holding on the OEM seat belt thing is touching the center console
Finish: 5/5 they really pretty.. lol.. i got them in the black soft sparco material with blue jersey inserts on the seats and lower back
Match: 4/5 center console is black with blue trim (shift boot ring and half of the rsx **** is painted blue. so is the piece around the radio, pocket, climate controls, etc.) the contrast is actually quite nice . oh, and BTW, my civic is EBP with the tan interior. hence the 'contrast'
Comfort: 4/5 hug you like a mother****er. very supportive, but still comfortable
Grip: 3.75/5 i wear size 34 pants (and they're kinda loose on me), but i have a big ***.
they hug me like a motherfuker but not so much that it makes me lose feeling in my *** cheeks. in corners and whatnot, my *** goes nowhere, but my upper body can still move around a bit. as long as i direct all the force to my butt, i go nowhere..
Overall: 4/5 i like 'em a lot. just wish the price was lower (i paid $2000 for seats plus install and fabrication
Pic: pic later.. when i can get my laptop connected to the internet (or when the shop i went to gets the pics of my car up on their site). for now, refer to the shop's site: http://speedwaremotorsports.com/seat/monza.asp
the blue in the pics look a lot more teal-ish than they are in person.

Seat: Sparco Milano in Suede
Fit:5/5 bolt in perfectly of course!
Finish: 5/5 Fabric is incredible. Colors are great. CF back of seat.
Match: 5/5 Matches interior perfectly.
Comfort: 4.5/5 Great bolsters, lumbar and just overall pretty comfortable

Overall: 3/5

Grip: 5/5 holds you in around corners like no other( especially with a takata
)
Overall: 5/5 this is definatly the best seat iv ever sat in hands down.

Seat: Corbeau CR 1's
Fit: 4/5 had to push a tug for a little while to make them fit
Finish: 5/5 very nice material, all embroidered with the corbeau logo on the front and back
Match: 5/5 it matches the black stock interior very nicely
Comfort: 5/5 very nice.. i drove from OKC to dallas with no back problems what so ever
Grip: 5/5 holds you like an over protective mama bear!!
Overall: very nice seat, sits really nice in the car..

Seat: ep3 seats
Fit:3/5 mine had rails modded to fit dc2 so i tore down stock and ep seats to reassemlb them with my rails those all matched the seat frames 5/5
Finish: 5/5 its a great look, i love the red stitching and suede, i might redo the centers in dark blue suede though
Match: 4/5 color matches good but patterns and materials are far off from stock 02 em2 rears
Comfort: 3/5 very comfortable but as posted before your lower back will hurt after only 10 minutes, im gonna find a way to fix that crap.
Grip: 4/5 for a stock honda seat they are awsome and hold you in perfectly compared to dc5R recaros they hold you alot less and dc5R's are much much nicer all around. compared to these momo race seats you guys have these would suck. plus i think honda made them wider to be more accomodating for fat people lol, other seats have held me tight, these have a good inch between me and bolsters.
Overall: 3.5/5 (dunno if this is the actual average but thats what id rate them) ill consider stock a 2/5 and dc5R recaros a 4/5
Pic: youve all seen them.

Custom
Seats: custom stock seats
Fit: 5/5 perfect, just unbolt and rebolt back in.
Finish: 5/5 2 tone vinyl, roof was redone, padding was added, just awesome.
Match: 5/5 perfect, i redid the roof lining to black and painted the pillars, also redid the door panels with the same silver, and my ride is SSM ( soon to be s2000 silverstone metalic )
Grip: 4/5 there is more padding to create support but its not like im stuck on with glue.
Overall: 4.75/5 these seats were just what i needed. I love my interior, the way the dash matchs the seats, the doors and the new roof. Great contrast and it was worth all the money
Price: $1400 CND at time of posting that is equal to 1177 USD.

Grip: 5/5 I have a 36-38 waist (beer gut) and these fit comfortably snug.

Seat: OEM Cloth seats
Fit:5/5 They seem to fit pretty good I guess... =)
Finish: 1/5 the 2001 seats have these stupid "rectangle" designs on them... looks really stupid. WTF were they thinking?!
Match: 3/5 The "wings" of the seats match, but the middle part with the shape pattern does not go with the rest of the interior
Comfort: 4/5 After driving my 96 hx for so many years I am used to the seats and I find them somewhat comfy. I like the armrest its very handy.
Grip: 2/5 There really is no grip.
Overall: 3/5 Mostly rating a 3 because I don't mind the seats much except for the design and they could be more comfortable. I would gladly swap in the seats off a 2003 or 2004 ex with black interior just to get rid of the awful geometric designs. I'll post a pic later for those who don't know what I mean.

Seat:2003 RSX leather seats
Fit:3/5 The seats holds you much better than stock but for a normal person (as in 5'11 170) I can still slide a little around. Plus, its leather. That means it can get a little slippery.
Match:4/5 Looks great with the dark interiors. Obviously not so well with people that have tan interiors. It sits a bit higher than stock seats but overall, looks like it belongs. Especially with matching rear leathers.
Comfort:4/5 Drivers side has lumbar support and has significantly more cushion than stock and much better grip. For reference, if one were to get Rsx seats, try to get the '05 up as they have more support and cushion.
Grip:3/5 See comments above. Not the best for daily track use but great for commuting. Leather can get slippery.
Overall:4/5 I am very satisfied with my purchase. These were one of the first mods I ever did to my car and I have no regrets. Honda leather quality is iffy but its looks nice and does its job.
