Will a 4-pt harness work w/o a roll cage?
I am thinking about getting some racing seats and a 4-pt harness for my car, but I am not sure how I would go about installing the harness. How do they typically install? It is fairly easy to do?
I am thinking about getting this harness, will it work in the 7thgen?

Thanks for the help.

First of all, don't buy **** no name seatbelts. Buy Schroth, Sparco, OMP, Sabelt, Simpson etc.... Racing brands with SFI and/or FIA approvals. Its not a place to skimp.
Second of all, and this is my standard (and very true) response: Harnesses on the street are not smart, in fact they're down right stupid. If the fire dept. has to cut you out, they have more stuff to cut, if you roll the car, you're stuck in there, so if and when the roof caves in, its going to fold you in half. No cage, no harnesses, its as simple as that. I don't see the fascination with driving with harnesses, they're uncomfortable as hell.

Belts get certified by passing certain tests. They're determined to be safe and hold you in an accident. The seams won't rip, the belts won't tear, the buckle won't pull out under a sudden impact. Things like that. You buy an untested crappy one, and you might as well tie yourself in with rope. Seatbelts and seats are safety items. Its not something that should be skimped on. If you can't afford to buy the right stuff, then you're better off not buying it.
