rim size???

I'm plannin to get a set of Focal's with my tax return money. The only problem is I dont know what size I should get. Either 17's or 18's. With 17's, I can drop my car lower to the ground, which IMO will make it look better. With 18's, I'll have the tucked look under the fenders and will have big rims, which would look better. If I get the 18's, will I be able to drop it low(like 2.5-3inches)? If you have aftermarket rims(17's or 18's), tell me what you think; should you have went bigger/smaller, or do you like it the way it is? Thanx for any input guys and gals. IMO....the best setup is 17" with 215/40-17 tires and a 1.5" drop (Eibach Pro-Kit).

I have 215?/40/17 and i am very satisfied. i was considering 18's after i got the 17's but everybody i talked to says i should stick to my 17's. and after dropping my car with the coil overs i am glad i didnt get the 18's. plus 18 would be to big and lower the performance by a smige.
