header + catback = how much noise???

do headers on a 7thgen with aftermarket exhaust make it sound significantly louder? or can you barely tell the difference? i want to know because im getting a civic soon and i dont want the pigs to hear me from a mile away...
plus im not really into excessive exhaust noise anyway..

the cat back will not make it to loud as long as you get one rated for under 95db. Once I added my high flow cat, it got LOUD, you can hear me comin from probley over a mile away if im at like 6800rpm. I hear that headers make it a little bit deeper but not louder.

dB noise levels mainly vary on the muffler/exhaust system. header wouldnt dramtically increase the overall tone and sound level of the vehicle.

aftermarket header + OEM exhaust = same sound level
aftermarket exhaust + OEM header = increase of dbs, change of tone, louder

with aftermarket header AND exhaust, the header would most likely increase the overall sound level slightly.

a hi flow cat or no cat at all on the other hand will dramatically increase your overall sound level AND tone. i ran no cat with stock exhaust and my exhaust sounded a little aftermarket in the high rpms.
