chrome off of headlights
if anyone is planning on doing blacked out headlights and intends on sanding off the chrome on the piece being painted, here's an alternative to sanding. use VIM, its a bathroom type cleaner. it works extremely well on taking off the chrome. found this out cuz i had some of the sealant on my headlight piece, so i decided to wash it off with VIM cuz its a really strong cleaner. i used a sponge with that green plastic mesh/bristle on it (you know what i'm talkin about). poured some VIM on headlight piece and started scrubbing then the chrome came off quite easily. just thought i'd let everyone know if they're sanding and not using primer.
Last time I had this much fun some furniture got broken!

yes it does and i have a spot in my headlights that has the chrome rubbed off. Its along the very top and only 3/4 in. wide so when I get eyelids painted it wont be visible anymore.
