stock intake cost?

i can't take the stock intake cover off, cracked the plastic when i was trying to change the air filter. guess i need to replace the entire thing now. i'm going to call honda tomorrow to get an estimate but just wondering what to expect - how much does a stock air intake cost and how much would it cost to install it?

someone on here might sell you theirs. A lot of people probably have their stock box sitting in their garage.

I would hook you up, but it's at a garage about 3hrs from where I live and I'm not heading there for another week or more.

might want to ask around here first to see if you can get a used one. With the number of people with aftermarket intakes on their car I'm sure you could get a good deal on a used one.

yeah man prcvicic is more then right. u buy from them u r getting ripped off. one of us could hook u up with one. did u just crack the cover that goes over the filter, or the bottom part that the filter sits in? dont worry to much bout it right now, cuz the air thats sucked in still gotta go through yur filter. but yeah i'm sure a guy on here could hook u up.

Its possible to repair with fiberglass from murrays or autozone, Can you show pics of the damage?

robo, that sounds like a good deal. the casing cracked at the bottom where the nut is housed inside the plastic for 2 or 3 of the bolts. when i loosed the bolt and heard a crack, it was the nut cracking the plastic. when you turn the screw, the nut and bolt spin inside.

same here, I gots one. They usually go sort of quick, cuz people always need one after they get rid of their intake.
