changing headlights in 20 degree weather

sucks.

my hands are fvcked from putting the stock bulbs back in, again, in the frigid cold.

i've had PIAA's, one lowbeam burned out.

then the vic got recalled for the headlight wiring harness, i thought to myself, 'oh, that's why it burned out'.

next i got silvania silverstars, and again, one lowbeam burned out. yesterday.

i thought about going with one piaa, one silverstar (since i have one of each now ), but i think it would drive me crazy

anyone have an opinion on long-lasting white bulbs? stock just looks yellow to me now, and i don't want blue or purple (i consider 'em rice...just my opinion).

before i get flamed, i should say, i don't touch the damn bulbs. seriously.

I never took mine in for the recall. I have never had the problem either. Just asking.

the recall was cause a harness causes one low beam to burn out faster than the other. take it in for the recall, unless you like buying bulbs... i had the same prob for a little. went through three pairs of bulbs before i got the notice. since they fixed it, i haven't had any problems.

I had the same problem with my piaa's. I thought it was from the harness, but my friends galant did the same thing with the exact bulbs . piaa does make some sweet lights though, I bought another set of the extreme white and so far they lasted about 11 months. I would suggest hiiting up Impulse for a set of HID's, the differnce is incomparable.

yeah i remember now.. i bought a piaa before and they both burned out at the same night like 3 months later during a very cold freezing night... one burned out at my friend's place where i'm ready to go home (i was half-blinded on the highway)... then next morning, i turned on the headlight, the other one broke too...
so i brought back to where i got it from and they gave me an super extreme white piaa and haven't got burned out YET...
if it does burn out again, i'm gonna go for HID...
