If its anything like the rsx aluminum youll have to take off the OEM silver adapter that your stock **** sits on. And to do that youll have to take your center console out, flip the boot inside out and cut the zip tie that hold the stock adapter on.

^i dont think theres one that connects the **** to the silver adapter. youre probably thinking about the boot adapter. i have that. all it is is a black little clip that clips to the oem silver adapter. thats it. once you clip on that black piece, it holds up the boot. *maybe i misread your post, i dunno (i just got back from taking a midterm, and my head hurts.lol)

and theres no need to take off the oem silver adapter, zip tie, or super glue to get the new honda boot adapter on.

yeah i have both. I currentlt have acura rsx aluminum shift **** which requires removing the factory silver peice that holds the boot and uses a different peice to hold the boot. theres also another one that goes on top of the silver trim and holds the boot up so you can screw in a shift ****. I personally love the black piece better because it makes it look cleaner than using the peice that came with aluminum shift **** that requires removal of the factory silver peice.
