Rep Power: 338 although it does take 10-20 pounds off or so, it is more for the show effect. weight reduction does help though ...
cf hood + removing spare/jack = lost 40-50 pounds already

Rep Power: 250 Do you like the way it looks? If YOU like the way it looks get one. If you don't dont get one. Its that simple. Whether or not it looks "rice" shouldn't matter. If you dont want the c/f look but you do want weight reduction, just have it painted to match.

Rep Power: 0 I guess it depends on what color your car is. they look good though. I just don't like the fact that you have to add hood pins, it makes it look like you want to race, cops love that.

Rep Power: 0 Carbon fiber hoods are worth it, if you get a real one. I have seen guys running turbo talons at a dragstrip, for a living, and told me some hoods shave off 45 pounds. It's worth it like I said if you race, but paint it so it doesn't look like a bean rocket.

Rep Power: 250 ^^^not a whole lot of weight at all.....F1 cars are painted.
Those stock hoods weigh a lot....like 75 lbs or so. This stock civic hood is much lighter then a DSM.

Rep Power: 0 Cheapst place to buy anything is on ebay.
carbonfibercreations is another good site.
There is a special jell coating on the CF hood that isnt really supposed to be painted
You dont need hood pins. I dont have any. Just make sure that the hood you buy has the latch.
Most CF hoods look sweet with any paint color. I like mine. CF/orange
Scoops are pretty ricey but I have seen some that do look good.
If you want light and painted. Get plastic or fiberglass.
Who cares what ur friends say, its your car.
check out my picture gallery. I have a picture of my car in there.
