What type of Potenzas come on the 04's ?
I have the RE950's and I can testify!!! It almost feels like they're better in the rain than wet?!?
Although, they're not the best tire to use during the winter as I'm finding out now. The salesperson advised me to get winter tires as he did not recommend these for the winter months. I already had winter tires so I was okay, but its something you should consider.

I've had RE950s for a while now. They rock! Whatever those other tires are, RE92s or whatever, if they come stock on a Civic, they shouldn't be called Potenzas.
Viva le RE950s.
Viva le RE950s.

And definitely don't use them in the winter, you can't expect a high-performance all-season tire to perform well in snow, that's what the AWESOME Blizzak WS-50's are for

RE950 owns. another owner here. they're no pole position but at least they're offered for our stock rims.
cost a butt load but worth the price. I'm riding pass 15k I think.
wet and dry performance is great. wouldnt know about snow here in CA, but review shows that u shouldnt depend on them as winter tires.
the RE920 is okay. compare them to the Firestone FR690 that was stock before.. and u'll know that those firestones are TRULY CRAP
anyone riding on stock firestone tires should fear for their life during a med/heavy rain.

A bit off topic....but someone mentioned tirerack.com. When you select a new set of wheels and tires to go with them, are they showing you the tires that keep your tire diameter the same? For instance, if you buy 17" wheels will it recommend lower profile tires so that the overall diameter does not change significantly? I obviously don't know much about tires sizing. I too am now thinking about new wheels and RE950's. Sounds like they aren't the greatest in snow, but are they still better in the snow and ice than the RE92's?
