pedals for the wet season..
eariler today my foot slipped off the gas pedal leaving my foot behind the gas pedal and almost causing me to rear end another driver ahead of me.
now i want to ask what kind of pedals should i be looking for that are grippy even when wet so these kind of problems dont happen to me again?
i have an automatic and looking to spend $40 if its reasonable?
thanks

How did that happen...did it slip right under it? My pedals are slippery too when wet so I just make sure I put my whole foot on the pedal...Maybe thats what you should do instead of paying 40 for pedals probably a better idea IMO

i guess i lean back too far and get too comfortable while driving. but the top half of my foot usually is working it. but i think it'd still be safer to get grippy pedals just in case

a little pricey but im lookin into them call up and you might be able to talk the price down a bit
mugen product + race proven = price enourmous

you could just take the rubber boot off the pedal/s.. throw on some double sided tape and then some sand paper over that...
you could hit the sandpaper with one or two layers of black spraypaint to hide the fact that its sandpaper..
on the same note you could pick up some $20 autozone pedals and drag a file across them a few times to kill the smoothness..

I bought some $20 pedal covers at Pep Boys that grip even when my shoes are wet. They have a sort of metal mesh on them. Also, when I know it's going to be wet, I don't wear flat-bottomed shoes or skateboarder sneakers--I wear hiking boots or grippy running shoes.
you dont want the mugen pedals if your worried about slipping on the accelerator anyways because the gas pedal is smooth on the mugens. id say just make sure all of your foot is on the pedal and be careful because most of the pedal covers are ricey and just for looks so most of them are smoth metal which in turn would be slicker than rubber.
Those pedals look like they're extra grippy in the dry (ie: sandpaper-y) but in the wet I don't think they'd work too well. Try getting a set of pedals that have those rubber strips that go across them.
Just for an example, Ichibahn makes some, their 'strip series':

I'm not endorsing Ichibahn though, a lot of people view them as a 'ricer brand', just using the pedal as an example. I think the Tiburon Toscani comes w. a dead pedal in a similar style.
