wrong forum. needs to be in suspension performance forums

what is your suspension set-up? im assuming just springs/coilovers. if thats the case, the top part of your front springs are rubbing metal against metal which is making that ugly creaking noise. many people had skunk2 coilovers and the solution was to grease the top of the spring. wd-40 works fine too but it wont last as long as grease.

you sure its not your break pads, i had a sound coming from my left wheel and i thought it was either suspension or breaks, turned out break pads were worn down

Maybe your camber kit (if you have one installed) was adjusted improperly.

I lowered my car 28,000 miles ago and its been sqeeking ever since. mostly when the weather is cold. I was told that i need to replace the bearings that sit on top of the spring.

my car is lowered on neuspeed sport and as the weather got colder i noticed my drvier side started to make a squeeking/creaking noise. i checked it out and first thought it was the bushings but it turns out it wasn't. the squeeking seems to only happen when my suspension compresses(eg. over bumps or on harder turns) i had a mechanic look over my car thoroughly and after about 2 hours of inspection and road testing his conclusion was, due to the shorter springs the stock struts were bottoming out and hitting the rubber bumpstop which was causing the noise. especially now that it was colder the bumpstop is stiffer, making them creak. this is why i didn't hear this noise in summer.

it's nothing that you should worry about.

The dead coils (the part of the spring where it is wrapped closer together) can rub and make this noise due to metal to metal contact.

Get some rubber hosethat will fir the spring and prevent metal to metal contact. Tha should rid you of that nosie.

Good luck.

did anybody happen to put the stock rubber thing on your new springs from the old ones, that would stop the metal-metal contact? Mine are fine, and I just reused the bottom of the coil sleeve type rubber thing, that wrapped around the old spring. I should take a pic later if nobody understood. Sorry so confusing
