I have so many red blocks cause when I first starting using the site I didn't know using the theft function deducted rep points. Actually at the time I had no idea what a rep point was.

yeah.. only 326 results for "shift ****".. so suck it up and deal with yet another thread about them..
when it comes to a/ts.. i sorta figured the whole "unscrew it.. it comes off" thing on my own... the question is... is there anything special you have to do in reguards to the "let me shift into reverse" button if you change the shift *****? ive never taken mine apart so i have no idea how it works...

I have the Razo shifter for my Auto.
1) With my Razo shifter you push down in order to shift from park to reverse and from reverse to drive. Once in drive you just slap the shifter in between N, D, D3, D2.
2) The push button(stock) pushes down on the shift rod. So to answer your question NO you do not need to mod anything.

take the two black screws off, then romove the shifter, then put new **** over top but just let it gently rest on the white push mechanism..then apply the new restraints....make sure the white mechanism is not applied down at all when you are putting the new **** over top...your car will not be able to shift if its not on properly

"Ractive automatic shift ***** are designed to work on automatic transmission cars and trucks only that do NOT have an electronic "O/D" or shift mode button."
is the reverse button also known as a "shift mode button" or is that just another word for O/D?

^ O/d is something different. Its very easy. Just put the new **** on and make sure that you let it rest on the reverse button thing. Don't push down on it, or else it wont lock. Just set the **** on top, and tighten it down. Just play around with it, you'll figure out what is right and wrong.
I bought one of those shifters once... except the holes kept getting deeper and deeper in the generic rubber piece they wanted me to screw the new shift **** into. I'm 99.9999% certain I installed it correctly, but after time it gets loose and i had to take the tiny allen wrench to tighten it up again.
Eventually I tossed it in the trash, I keep my stock stuff in a box.... labeled "Stock Honda Stuff". I want to do my entire exhaust system now, but how will I fit the old stuff in the stock box? Not your concern

Oh yeah, I was writing that message and got distracted to the point where I forgot why I was posting in the first place. I wanted to ask anyone if they found any aftermarket auto shift ***** that bolt into the same 2 screw holes as our civics?

cardomaine.com has a few for autos.. the screw thing sounds like its the only problem.. so im guessing a lil loctite would do the trick.. or even a drop of silicone so that you could take if off without the rist of stripping the lil screw/hex/whatever
you could get the spoon one (i posted some pix before). it comes with a screw/hex thingy (whatever its called). it doesnt fit into either of the two holes, but its still a good fit.
i got the spoon shiftknob and the trim piece. yep, i love to fake the funk
