Hey dudes I have something thats bothering me. Its the third oil change I've gotten, and I've gotten them done at Honda. After every Oil change my dip stick reading has oil a little above the top indicator. But after a few throusand kilometeres it comes down to a little below the top indicator. Why is that? Is my engine damaged?

The Honda dealership here puts 5w30 in all the Civics. I've been running Mobil 1 5w30 every 5k miles since oil change #1 two years ago and the inside of my engine is still shiny with no deposits.

no u drain it than u can put it back in after u replace the filter...i checked my friends oil at his 12.5k mark and it was still good...we ran some tests and it came out good...his oil plug magnetic plug was almost spot less with metal peices...less than an 1/24 the ammount was on it when he checked

i just put Mobil 1 0w-20 and it runs smooth, but what would u guys suggest for winter time?? 5w30? do they make 0w30?
