AEM has released the "Race" version of the 30-1070 ECU for:

K20A2
K20A3
K24A1
D17A1
D17A2

These motors originally came from the RSX Type-S, RSX Base/Civic Si, CR-V, Civic EX, and Civic DX/LX, respectively. While the 30-1070 can drive these motors in the vehicles listed above, the EMS will not support the factory A/C Switch and Coolant Gauge that are driven by Honda's Multiplex System (Datastream/CAN Bus). Note: these chassis's have their own EMS part number (30-1030) but there is no ETA at this time.

It's a stand alone ECU. Replaces the stock one and allows you to program the fuel/ignition tables.

would the aem system get rid or our god damned ulev bullsh!t on out D17's and get a better air fuel ratio other then our crazy 1:47 or sumthin like that

Huh?

It allows you to tune for the optimum AF for the engine. A 1:47 AF would be quite rich, in fact, the motor would probably not turn.
