^^^^You must not know what you are talking about. It makes more of a difference in sound than what you say. It makes it louder. With some people if they have the wrong mufflers it will make a weed wacker raspy sound.

My friend did that on his Mp3. He has no cat or resonator, with 2.25 piping back to the stock muffler. But his stock muffler is a mazda speed muffler. It sounds good, but i dont know how it will sound on our cars.

hmmm I just read what you are actually asking. Keeping the stock piping and the stock muffler? There wouldn't be any change what so ever.

the resonator stops a lot of sound, so it would be louder but I don't know if it would sound good out of a really small tip. Just curious is there a thread where people have posted sound clips of their exhaust. I know I saw one where only one guy had posted. I don't feel like searching
not sure what your looking for but i have an megan hi flow cat/testpipe/resonator. www.meganracing.com for more details.
have it on my ex with stock exhaust. if you want to hear it, i have a vid clip of it. it is louder but still quiet compared to aftermarket exhaust/mufflers. PMed you my aim
