Eventually a cop pulled me over and got real close to my rear license plate and noticed when writing down my plate that if he look at it from the side it would become fuzzy. He confiscated it by unscrewing my license plate off and taking the plate cover and giving me a $40 ticket.

I was thinking of the EZ pass deal for tollways, for the camera protector, i wonder if the anti laser cover makes it fuzzy from an angle.. too bad there isnt a way to find out unless u go flying past a cop and the laser detector goes off and u dont get a ticket..

I've heard from people that have them that they work (esp. with cameras), but they're usually illegal. As for making your car "invisible to laser," just because the laser gun is aimed at your plate doesn't mean that the laser won't bounce off another part of your car and give a reading. So if you get a ticket, like Storm897 said, it will likely be a big one.
i dont think it necessarily has to be the license plate that the radar reads
what about the cars that dont have a front license plate on the bumper ]
sometimes they have inside on the windshield or just have a back plate and they still get caught. it has to be "almost" the same radar gun that they use for checking a basseballs speed. maybe for the cameras theyll work but i dont think it will get u out of a speeding ticket

The camera one does work. I didn’t buy my plate cover from here but I can vouch the camera one worked. When the cop asked me why I have the plate cover I said I don’t want to get my plate to get dirty. He asked me to step out of the car and look at my own plates before he unscrewed them. He laughed and said something to the effect of, "Son this license plate cover makes everything seem fuzzy when looking at it from the side. Look me in the eye and tell me you use these plates to protect against your license plate getting dirty." I looked him dead in the eye and said, "I bought these 2 plate covers to protect my license plates from getting dirty". He shook his head and wrote me up a $40 ticket and confiscated my plate covers.
you can get some sort of spray that you cover your license plate with for the cameras. You can't see it at all normally, but the flash the red light cameras give causes it to reflect just a big white rectangle. I dont know where to get one though.

I was thinking maybe just buying the lens and cementing it on strategic spots of your license plate (after cutting it up into little pieces). Make the number 8 look like a zero. Make the number 4 look like a 1. Etc. Then throw a generic clear license frame over it.

Or, you could just Google "license plate spray camera"
