Aftermarket Mufflers

I just put on an R34 Ocane body kit onto my 03 civic ex and honestly it looks pretty crappy with that little brown stock exhaust poking out, but the problem is i dont have much money left so i cant afford anything like a Greddy catback system. To solve this problem i hopped onto ebay and bought one of those aftermarket muffler replacements for about 50 bucks and i want to install it myself, and i have a couple questions about this process. What is the diameter of my cars pipe underneath? im guessin 2.25? I'm not really sure how long this pipe has to be either.... could be a problem. Also my factory brackets are rubber so im gonna have to buy steal mounts and weld them on the muffler. Please feel free to leave any tips or bad experiences you have went through in the welding/installing an aftermarket exhaust muffler. thanks.

i think stock piping is around 1.75" ish? those ebay mufflers are pretty huge and loud.

welding a muffler onto ur civic should cost around $50-70ish depending where u get it done at. my frend got a muffler welded onto his corolla for $80! fckin rip.. they included a hanger to support the huge heavy muffler tho.
