If you have half a brain and you can follow the cleaning directions, then there's nothing wrong with it. If you have less than half a brain and you clean it in a manner other than directed, you can damage the filter.

what do you all think of the APC filters? I am going to replace the filter on my injen cold air, just didnt want to spend the $40 for the injen filter. The apc is $23. Or should I stick with a new injen filter.

i'd stick with the new injen filter, from what i've bought with apc it was cheaply built, and i wouldn't short myself on a filter.
