I dont see why they didnt make the SRI one piece. They call it a "soft mount". Just having the filter piece just dangling there seems odd...the only thing holding it in place is the rubber grommet. Theres plenty of movement and how many bumps will it take to losen that connection ?

it'll come loose after awhile, mine did and the filter sat on a hose or somethin and the heat burned the filter a little so i had to turn it so you can't see the burn marks. if i weren't tryin to make my engine bay look good i woulda just went with a fipk2 but i got to have the bling of the polished sri cause it catches people's eye when i pop the hood and then they see the header and everything else.
