Recently i placed an order at a local shop for a vis oem hood, the guys there told me that it would take about a week or so and i was getting it at a very reasonable price. Well, that all happened about 6 weeks ago and now i'm getting very impacient, so i put the money towards a Fiber Images hood. My qustion is there is a $100 difference between the hoods and i was wondering if the extra money was getting me a better quality hood? Can anyone give me some info?

It took me 2 1/2 weeks to get my hood. I went directly to Vis to purchase the hood and picked it up myself to save on shipping. When I was there they said it will be in the next day, then Monday, Then Friday Yada Yada Yada. Basically there on back order for most carbon fiber hoods. The sales guy had to hide the hood for me or else they would have sold the hood or shipped it. I would have to wait for another week or more. I'm sure it would take longer when you work with a third party to purchase the hood. Good Luck.

Well, here is what happened yesterday. I tried to get my money back from the first shop and they told me that i couldn't get it back till next thursday, so to avoid a bigger headache i told them to put the money i paid them towads a kaminari rear lip and side-skirts. then i went to another place and ordered the fiber images hood, and the owner of the place told me that i would have it by June 4 guaranteed. so i'm pretty happy now. I just hope that the first place doesn't f up again.
