how can u use urethane as a trunk? doesn't it have to be heavier or sturdier so u can slam itshut and stuff? people can just take something sharp and shove it straight through ur trunk and steal ur stuff.

Well I was thinking that lead is the heaviest material to use, but yea, CF is way lighter than Urethane.

The CF trunk is way better weight and look wise than the urethane, unless you like to bang on your trunk...

I want one, theres no point in buying a CF deck lid for my car b/c I would paint it.

hopefully your observing opposite day today the only thing heavier than urathane body parts are steel ... fiberglass is about half as light and CF is about a quarter of that

I'd say keep saving until you can afford a Carbon Fiber decklid. The problem with urethane is that it's extremely soft and gets even softer when the sun's beating down on it in the summer. You may have issues with long-term warping due to heat.

Plus, I think unpainted urethane as in the pic you posted looks pretty ghetto.
