Best paging alarms? i searched

Hey guys, i just had my car broken into, and I didn't have an alarm. I was parked on a very populated street so if i had an alarm, some1 shoulda woken up.
now i'm looking into 2-way paging alarms, and have found a few.

first of all, there's the compustar 2wss-as model
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...category=48611

then there's a viper one: 790 xv or somethin

I think there's a clifford one called the matrix rs3 or something

anyone know which alarm is the best? my budget is around $5-$600 and i want something that's gonna page me if anything happens.

all other suggestions, comments appreaciated...

also, i'm planning to add some custom touches to the alarm system: hidden camera, and triple fog horns

I have been looking for a good alarm too. Is there a good place to buy these compustar alarms from?, I dont think there are any dealers around here for them.

Thanks

Compustar is your best bet, get the one with spread spectrum. That one works better then the FM unit

Interesting. Everyone seems to love Compustar. I remember back when I was looking for a nice alarm, I came across a tread from someone that had been installing alarms for years. He said Compustar was a piece of crap and that anyone with knowledge with car alarms can bypass the system. I personally like my Clifford...

I have the viper 790 and i love it, the only thing i think they could have dont better is make the keypad more durable. but im ruthless so it just might be me and you can get tilt sens, turb timer, mostly n e thing.
i dont know n e thing about the compustar though.

I have heard some gripes about the shock sensor. i have a viper 790 xv, which has been upgraded by viper to the 791 xv. I would go with that or the clifford matrix rs3. Either compustar or directed products won't have much range unless you're in open air. ( when you are in open air the range is great)
